Have You Checked Your Cabin Air Filter Lately?

While in for a routine oil change, this customer asked if we could check into why there was no heat coming out of the passenger side vent.

Part of every oil change at Douglas Automotive Repair includes a check for basic maintenance items.  Once we pulled the filter from behind the glove box, we found the reason for no heat! We vacuumed out at least a quart size baggie worth of seed! Glad it was a simple fix for this customer.

This time of year, critters are looking for a place to stash food for the long winter months ahead.  The cabin air filter area seems to be a prime spot in some vehicles. Check your cabin air filter at a minimum annually to make sure you’re not collecting critter goodies, or other debris. This important filter keeps the air inside your cabin clean.

Give us a call today to have your cabin air filter checked!
